    Description

    Just unpacked from a box that was packed away some 25-30 years ago comes this set of five (5) spongeware / yellowware custard cups.  The manufacturer is Bennington / Rockingham and the age is approximately 1875 or so.  Each custard cup stands 2 3/8 inches tall.  All but one custard cup seem to have at least one hairline crack - one or two have a few hairline cracks.  One custard cup appears to be in perfect condition.  One of the custard cups with a hairline also has a small old chip on one side of the top rim.  The condition seems appropriate to the age of these cups.  They display very nicely and would look great in your kitchen or wherever you keep your kitchenware.  They have a great primitive look!!  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will be very pleased with these primitive spongeware custard cups!
